But isen't a hybrid exactly what i got, cross bred?

Flowerhorns ARE hybrids and mixed with anything there is under the moon to produce a color strain or a specific look.

You need to read want I wrote of course flowerhorns are hybrids but he stated that he had a cross bred of red devil and trimac which would not cause the offspring to be flowerhorns but just some hybrid cross fish.
