yes that's plenty of room for rbp, you could have a good number in ther aswell 8-10 would be fine
 
that's actually only about 100 gallons, so stuffing 8-10 piranhas in there would be a bad idea. i would stick with 4-5 max if you're thinking reds, maybe get a couple extra to cover possible losses and sell off the extras if they all survive until adulthood.

reds are tiny compared to other pygo's, and do well in large shoals, 8 in a 6'x18" is absoultely fine. some of the other pygo's that hit 15" would be a problem, but find me some reds over 9".

You dont visit Piranha sites much do ya...

Plenty of reds out their over the 10 inch mark...
 
that's a smaller footprint than 125 and cramming 8 into a 125 would be pushing it. you're free to do what you want, but i don't think you'll find too many people suggesting you put 8 reds in a 100 gallon tank, that's only 12 gallons per fish.

i have yet to see more than a couple in that range, but if you have pics i'd be glad to see them, i've kept them aswell as other people i've known, and this is what i have found. i type from my own knowledge, not internet knowledge on this matter.
 
superluke, would this be your first time buying/owning piranhas?
