Okay, I'm so close to having this issue resolved. I took out the Durso Standpipes and shortened the PVC pipe which comes out of the bottom bulkheads in the external portion of the overflow box (the bulkhead connected to the drain lines which run into the sump). It seems to have increased my gph flow enough so that I can open up my ball valve fully and have the return pump running full throttle. My only problem now is that every so often (2-3 days or so) the baffled chamber containing my return pump runs low to the level just barely above the return pump itself. Is it that I need to add water to the entire system every couple of days? Second question, how do I keep the water level in the weir (box inside the tank) higher that the level of the exterior portion of the overflow box? They keep wanting to level out with eachother, but when the water level in the weir is higher, I get a better flow rate, and less air pockets in the U tube. I know thiis hard without pictures, I'll try again tomorrow.
But if anyone understands this, please provide suggestions of advise; experience is greatly appreciated!!
