I was recommended by someone that had the same setup i guess without issues...

I would keep kind of a 2 sided tank if a had to, one flower pot on each side surrounded by plants maybe and also plants in middle

i would really like:

x1 convict c
x1 jewel
x2 red clawed crab
MAYBE a rubberlip plec or 2

I would be really happy with that tank, is it possible, or will it be a battlefield?

i think im going to try it cuz they should respect eachother considering they are the same size, never know til you try!

Curious why another thread was needed to ask this when you could have asked there^^. :nilly:

The answer to the question is Yes. You can keep a convict and jewel in a 29g tank. Answering whether they will work out together or not is purely speculation, no one can say for sure.

I have 7 jewels with 3 cons in a 55g. There are 2 breeding pairs of Jewels on either side and the rest hang out in the middle. No real issues between species, the cons pick on the other cons, and the jewels go after each other.

I have yet to have any fry yet, so thinking about moving a pair of the jewels into a 29g that I have.

Should workout since they are both on the high end of the agression scale. Both can really shell it out and hold their own.

i like firemouths a little more than jewels, do you think i could get a con and firemouth instead of the jewel?

Yes but depends on fish.
