It depends on the bichir personality. Being the same sex or opposite sex can make a difference. You won’t know until you try it.

Yes for sure but if the ornate get big, it might can be little aggressive in small tank.
Yup. When I kept only a delhezi and ornate with no other bichirs, the ornate got aggressive and constantly attacked my del. only after I added in a few more bichirs did the aggression fully stop.
It seems as though I’m the only one raising any concerns regarding size difference. While endlis are the ones known the most for cannibalism I worry about the width differences regarding the ropefish and the size difference in time for the senegal compared to the ornate.
