Can I Keep Polypterus Senegalus with Rope Fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would do 20-25% water changes every week personally...
As far as fish, you have a ton of options...

Burmese Archers
Distochodus Sexfasciatus
Indian Sheathfish KRYTOPTERUS APOGON
Royal Clown Knife
Peacock Bass (Temporary)
Vulpinnis
Cynodon Gibbus
Uaru
Geophagus Daemon

I'm sure I could go on, but I'm kinda fried today :)

Most of these fish are too big :P
And not really interested in the Geophagus, though the Archer Fish looks cool, I think I would rather go with the Butterfly Fish.

I like the idea of running at least two filters simultaneously, that way when trouble occurs you're not left with nothing. I don't personally have experience with canisters, but i do hear good things about them. There's lots of members that could answer questions about them if you post in the filtration section. Have you considered aquaclear 110s? They're a great bang for your buck, and very customizable

I know you can put tons of monsterfish in their but it's the matter of time they grow out. You can put a baby arapaima in there for a month!
