Can I keep RBP in a 55 gallon for life?

I know a guy who has some red bellies, this is some adults in a 125 gallon, i would say a 55 gallon is way to small.

I'm going to go with the elongatus. Should I add a powerhead to give some current to the tank above and beyond the two filters? If so, where should the powerhead be placed, top, middle, or bottom of tank?

As far as the powerhead goes, that is solely up to you.

But of course you'll want to position the powerhead around your decor so you'll have a straight/steady flow throughout the tank. You don't want the flow to be diminished by the driftwood piece you have in there.

Btw, great looking setup. He'll enjoy it.
