Can I mix these fish together?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
So my first question is what size tank, gallons? is it going to be FOWLR? second the list seem's a bit iffy having and aggressive tang with a angel. Once I get a general idea of you plans and size tank I can properly guide you.

ok it is an 80 gallon corner pentagon it is going to be a fowdr tank and would this list be ok
1 annularis angelfish
1 atlantic blue tang
1 striped bristletooth tang
1 sailfin tang
1 longnose hawkfish

No way on three tangs and an angel in this small tank! This is a single-tang tank, and may not hold any tang for life, much less three. Have you had the chance to check out the site I linked you to? Stocking should be a well-researched and thought-out process, and these combinations you're coming up with don't appear to be researched at all!

As I said before, count on having ONE centerpiece fish, as well as other smaller fishes. You're not just looking at swimming room, even though that's important, too -- you're looking at bioload and how psychologically crowded these potentially aggressive fish will be. Overstocking of the magnitude you suggest will only lead to trouble!

agreed ^ the tangs especially the blue atlantic which is a nasty tang like the yellow will pick on all the tank mates for your setup you should take your time and search the fish you think you want to keep then post, compare them, and research to avoid tank aggression, death, and ICH. Your on the right path to proper housing by asking and not just buying and loosing out on a good experience in the hobby. Thanks for being responsible and Please ask questions anytime Private message me if you need to for help.
