my flourscent lights for my 125 are yellow and i have a 29gallon with a purplish bulb and they look so much better. my question is can i use those bulbs in my fixture? i only see either standard flourscent yellowish bulbs or i would just get them

A T5 pin configuration is smaller so a definite no. A T8 has the same pin configuration as a T12 but it is hit and miss as to whether or not it will work. Most your older T12 ballasts will not run T8 lamps. Whereas many of the new electronic ballasts will run eiter configuration. Best bet is to read the ballast and run the recommended lamps for that ballast.

ok bro thanks

just look for a bulb with a higher kelvin temperature, something with at least 6500K-8000k
