Can I squeeze in a Rafael?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They like cover, I would say it would be good if you put a cave in there for him. It would be a lot more comfortable that way.
You’d be surprised what it could squeeze into though.

Ok thanks, i have some more rocks, so I’ll just build a couple small caves for it.
Lol just make caves that can comfortably house a 8in catfish. Most stripe's get to roughly 8in while spot's tend to be a couple inches smaller on average.

Personally I prefer spotted rapheals to striped. I just like how the spotted raph's are smaller on average and get a real nice black and white spotted pattern.

The one I’m getting is about 8” now, I was gonna grab it today but something came up, bigger is probably better, a couple of my polys will get around 16” and then there’s the Oscar

Could always glue a stack of pvc together and hide it behind/underneath some rocks. It would hide the ugly man made structure while also providing a small apartment complex for the fish lol.

I have some pvc, maybe if I can’t make the rock cave the way I want, I’ll have to see what I have, I have a bucket of old decor laying around, good ide tho
