Can I submerse a aquaclear over the back filter?

its not the money, I want the water fall effect. I cannot achieve this with thoes filters I have 14 extra submersible filters and I am trying the over the back style.

It seems to be fine its been running for 24 hours now. its in a GFI as well just in case.

The motor assembly on an Aquaclear HOB filter is removable. It wouldn't be very difficult to replace it with one that is submersable...

Another issue about the "UL approved" deal is that if anything should happen when your using non submersable equipment then your on your own...

This is a lawsuit question. You should go over the owner's manual and consult with the manufacturer. I am not going to tell you no problem go for it.
