So I’ll be moving out of state within the next few months and I am having trouble figuring out how to take my fish with me. I might be able to keep them at my current house until I get something set up at the new place but that would be very expensive to buy new tanks and equipment. I thought about asking my LFS to foster some of my more prized monsters but I would have to have multiple locations agree because they don’t have the tank to house all of them. But can I actually trust that they’ll spend the appropriate effort in keeping them? I’m thinking about having them foster my Monos, RTC, Albino arrowana, and the aba aba at the minimum. The rest of my fish I might sell, not really sure yet. What are the opinions that float out there?

Probably better off buying a couple big fish bins to house them in temporarily.
It depends on how you feel about your LFS and what your relationship is.
I agree but that's if they will do it. It will be risky.
Moving is enough of a hassle without finding someone to "foster"care for your fish while you move. Just sell or give them away, and then start afresh in your new location.
If you could trust your local shop to do this...you'd already know it and wouldn't need to ask. If you need to ask...then you already don't trust them. Either way, the risk is entirely yours.

I’ve thought about starting fresh but some of these were hard to come by and I haven’t enjoyed the most out of them. I suppose o could sell the RTC because I’ve thought about it before. No the albino arrowana because after time I could find one. But the aba aba I went everywhere for ?. You are right though with the whole trust them or not.
Yeah, I totally agree. I've seen so many different LFS and no 2 are the same. I've seen horrible ones and I've seen great ones.
I don’t know your stock or care requirements, but I believe I would just set up temporary tanks/ tubs.
