your gar is a alligator gar. attratacus spatula (sp sucks) is its scientific name. If u want a gar to stay around 18-24 inches then get a florida gar. your gar is going to be 2ft within 2 years(most likly) if not before. If u were able to keep it long enough this gar would be able to achieve 5 ft in captivity. 8-10ft in the wild. ur gonna prob need a pond to keep this guy forever. i can suggest someone to u to get floridas if u would like.

Next issue is the no feeders. if he is eating no feeders ok but he needs alot of food constantly.
Ur oscar that got H.I.T.H it wasnt due to feeders(though that shouldnt have been its main staple food). Oscars are notorius for getting it. Wasnt something u did it was just because its an oscar.
