can I?

thank you so much, Im planning on getting a 240 gallon, and a west african lungfish in a couple of years now, how much would one cost by the way?

A 240 could house a comm including a LF if you choose to go with a south american LF. I've kept Lepidosiren paradoxa with a host of other SAm species with no problems.

x2.

SALs are usually pretty cheap, too, so that's another option; I know that at least one vendor has big ones (around 36") for around $150.

how much would a 240 gallon cost?

To give you a ballpark idea, a new one from Glasscages.com would run you $759 for a 96" x 24" x 25" and $844 for a 72" x 24" x 31" (all before delivery fees and customization); they also make some other ones of different dimensions that are over $900. Odds are that you can find a used one for half that price, if that, on your local Craigslist, so I'd look there first.

A standard 180 gallon aquarium (72" x 24" x 25") would work as the bare minimum for an adult SAL and would be more than big enough for an adult WAL, SpAL, MAL, or GAL, so that's another option if you don't want to spring for a 240 gallon aquarium.

how much would a 180 or a 125 cost, which is better?

You want something with a wide footprint, so go with whichever aquarium gives you that. Go to Glasscages.com to get a ballpark idea on how much a new one would cost; I imagine that you can find a used one for much less though.
