I have 3 jack dempseys I believe its one male and two females. Then I have 3 oscars. I want to know if they can breed as every one of the fish have amazing colors! I am getting 3 jags as well maybe and am wondering if any of the combinations could breed? Also getting some flowerhorn/jag hybrids. Can any of my selections cross breed?

Any Central American Cichlid can hybridize with any other Central American Cichlid, Hybrid Central American Cichlid, or Cichlasoma Festae. Aside from Cichlasoma Festae, no other South American Cichlid has ever been confirmed to successfully hybridize with anything outside its own genus.

So essentially:

CA + CA = Fish
CA + HCA = Fish
CA + SA = No Fish
SA + SA = No fish
GSA + GSA = Fish

(CA = Central American/Festae, HCA = Hybrid Central American, GSA = Same Genus South American)

i already have jag * fh growing out dat was a huge batch about 500-700 fries but lost almost all except 60 lets see what they turn out to be

All SA can interbreed but if you throw oscars in the mix it will be nearly impossible, because they are almost impossible to breed with eachother let alone another species
