looks male to me, a redfin gg would have been a better choice for a 180, that fish will get over 2ft long, some hit 27-28 inch!

Yes.. I have another 7ft X 3ftX 2.5 ft tank in main room.
Red tail GG are not available in India. All these year I have seen.. only 1 in aquarium here. Many people/seller don't know RTGG.
I went with female as the dorsal and anal fins did not look pointed enough to be male. At the size of yours one should be able to tell.
I am no expert on them though I was only going by what I had seen on our RTGG and Gold Gouramis. Your other tank sounds real nice might not hurt to move the fish into it to speed up the growth of your Gourami. Your Bichir would maybe like a few more hiding places. It does take the fun out of owning them though as they do like to hide a lot. Our Bichirs sure seem to know when it is feeding time and come out from every where.

Does female GG produces hump ??? Bcz mine has a good visible hump in real. Ya.. sure I will put some woods for hiding Bichir.
