Can LMB eat this???

Just went on search but no luck. Its winter (if thats what you wanna call it) and they are a little harder to find in the cold. I'll post a vid once I come across another one.

pretty sure you're safe from diseases with them.

ALL of my wild caught food has been disease free. pet store feeders are full of diseases cuz of their living conditions, nature provides pretty good living conditions.

besides, i'm not sure if there are any diseases that would transmit from a scorpion to a fish...

Its already been resolved but I have seen LMB that eaten small turtles...and I have always heard about them taking on cotton mouths. Might be folklore...I have never found one inside of a fish.

Off subject...where do you guys get your LMB...I have thread on here somewhere from a couple of years ago where I picked some up from a pond stocker.

I was fishing with a buddy one time and he had a bass on his line and all of a sudden, it just stopped fighting. When he reeled it in, it was unconsious/dead, but had a live painted turtle hatchling stuck in it's mouth. It must have been lodged in there badly enough that it couldn't properly breathe while it was fighting.

As far as getting them, there is a hatchery, where I used to work actually, right near me that almost always has them in stock from about 2" up to 12+" sometimes. I don't currently keep any, but when I worked at the hatchery, I raised up a little guy for a couple years and he would eat from my hand. They are great fish

Where exactly in OHIO is this hatchery??? I'm going to be looking for a few 3" to 4" LMB here in about 5 or 6 months for my big tank and I'm curious if I can get them locally.

It's just north of Urbana on Rt. 68. They usually have some LMB of one size or another, but I would recommend calling ahead to see what they currently have in stock if you are going to make the drive. They have a price list on their website. 3-4" LMB are $1.25. http://www.fwfarms.com/

Heck ive seen LMB eat turtles (baby turtles)
