can males have markings on dorsal fin?

I have this male here with a very obvious black spot in his dorsal. So the answer to your question is definitely Yes!! here are some other picsof my fish two pcs each set. 2nd pic I was told is a male Kamfa and he has some black on his dorsal fin. 3rd pic is of female Kamfa juvie. Thanks

That black spot years ago was an issue for the breeders back in the day(hopefully this no longer happens)... if you research it on the net its documented they actually tried to scratch it off the spots..... just to give you a heads up scroll down the page to see it here...

your fish is a female... Body shape alone tells me that it's a female...
