Ok I have a newer mobile home, and my plan is to put the tank un top of the steel beam that runs along the house. the tank is going to be 12'x4x'3'...........
heres a pic of the house

Im not the expert here, but I do have a semi big tank, so I will just say that a tank that size needs to be on a slab of cemet.

how about a outdoor pond? seems like you have enough room outside.

I already have an outdoor pond. Im trying to build something large enough for a lima shovelnose, a silver aro, and some big oscars. Maybe keep that footprint and only do 18-12" hieght?

If you put it lengthwise and directly over the steel beam that runs the length of your mobile home you should be OK. Is the floor particle board, oriented strand board (OSB), or plywood? Just make sure their are plenty of supporting piers under the section of frame you put the tank over.

i can always get under the house and add some piers

if i made it 24" tall would that be OK without adding supports?

Is that a modular home on a crawl space or a double-wide mobile home? It does not look like the typical mobile home to me.

Either way I would check with the builder as different states have different codes for how to gang together modular homes and/or double-wide mobiles.

Also, I would cut the height down to 28" or less as that's the size that tends to fit into most homes. Even if you have a sliding door elsewhere on the house than pictured I would cut down the height. I say this understanding you are military and perhaps more likely to move than the rest of us.

My house was originally designed with a walk-out first level for a handicapped adult. Even I would have trouble and limited choices as far as moving a 12x4x3 tank into my house.

My point being don't only worry about this house but also any house you might move into in the future.
