that's big :WHOA:

how much it's take to reach 1 meter size ?

don't know exactly but after 12 - 18 months they are usually around 15"-18" i believe

hehe.
actually,
red SHs can cohabitat with many fish.
they are very overestimated fish.
they dont really defend themselves well against fish to big to bite.
but that all changes once they hit a foot.
they get more aggro and start to stake out a territory.
but still, they are not capable of killing any fish much bigger than itself.
it will eventually outgrow and kill everything soon.
they take about a year and a half or two to get to 1 meter.

thnx channarox 4 the info

by the way

i move some fish between my tanks and now the snakehead with:
- 1 flowerhorn
- 2 green texas
- 2 jagour
- 2 soft shell tertle

they range between 4-6"

the tank 3'L

there is some following but they all fine and each 1 has it own cave

I beg to differ.....I housed two reds with a female Jag, Jack Dempsy, Tex, Pbass and others, after a month of relative piece, fish started coming up missing 1 by 1.....the Snake had finally caught the others in size, they were all about 8 inches......All the fish were either very, very damaged or dead. Every time I woke up, another fish had huge, deadly chucks taken out of them and the Snake head had a full stomach. The only fish that did not die was my Jag. She would fight back but was getting beat horribly, and she was the most aggressive fish ive ever owned, this is all that saved her. Another two weeks and she would have been dead.

wow ...that what u can call fish rage

i know it a bit risky but my snakehead stile young (4") so i have some time befor it hit the 1' line

untile that time come , i plane to put some young red tex in the empty tank which is the first time they bring them

i was talking about one.
but with 2 or more your better watch out for your other fish no matter what size.
when i kept them singly, they would be fine with tankmates too big to kill.
but when i had a pair, they could kill fish larger than themselves.
they will grab each side of the fish and play tug-o-war.
then eat the remains.
