Can seafood like shrimp go "bad" when feeding it to fish?

Whats the shelf life of shrimp before you shouldnt feed it to your fishy?

I know many people here freeze and thaw, but whats the longest you keep your shrimp when in the fridge?

Any food can go bad. "Going bad" means usually bacteria or mold infection, neither which is healthy.

i only keep mine frozen and would not use it after a day or so after defrosting.
if i wont eat it them i wont give it to my fish

If it starts to smell "strong" it is not good to use, if you wouldn't eat it don't use it.

I wouldnt feed my fish shrimp with freezer burn. I order 100lbs of shrimp at a time. My fish eats better than i do ...alot better

I generally freeze and thaw as well.n I will feed shrimp to the fish that has freezer burn, it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. But if I'm leaving it in the fridge, I agree with the above. If it's starting to smell like it's not good, I won't feed it to the fish.

I seem to remember reading somewhere a long time ago that freezing your prawn/shrimp too long causes denatured proteins.

I know my fish wont eat freezerburn prawn..
