Here’s another idea for the tank, ive seen in FB that people paint or use vinyl under their tank, go red if you can find any and just used alittle sand.

The sen will probably never be safe with the Oscar. I agree a lj or a larger del would be ideal.

Loki is about 5.5-6ini got him at 1.5 and he's only a few months old but it all reality it just depends on care; a varied diet, clean water, and room to grow they can grow quick but if you wanna house it with.... Damn I forgot what are the potential tankmates?

Well since my sen likely won't be able to be housed with the Oscar he'll go in the Cichlid setup.
Seeing as how we have 3 Cory cats in there and they don't get beaten up I wondered how much bigger the Bichir should get before introducing him? He's about 2.5 inches atm.

Understandable but the cories will be re-homed before I place the sen in there. I was just using the cories as an example of a small vulnerable fish being perfectly fine with the cichlids.

They're not vulnerable (a grown man can't even swallow one). What cichlids are in there?
