Can Silver and black arowanas co-exist in the same tank ?

It may or may not work. There is a possiblity of it working as there are a few ppl who keep two silvers together.

Wouldn't be correct to say silver aro is a gentle giant, it will only attack its same kind or fishes can fit into its mouth ?

from my experience only fish it can fit in its mouth.

Certainly, I might as well go for either 2.5ft or 3.0ft width to cater for this big fish later in their life.
2 Silver aro together can be risky, may be 3 or 4 to spread their possible agression.

i saw someone posting their silver aros which are almost 3 ft in another forum..raised in aquariums..
