another thing that snails like to eat waterchestnuts my applesnails go nuts for those ^.^ mystery snails are just you're ol run of the mill but beautiful pomacea bridgesii snail "applesnial" my snails don't seem to get along with most fish, just guppies. you're snail could be hiding because the fish are picking on him. then they stay to their shells. if he has a chip and you can see his flesh thats not a good thing, but luckily you can fix that. there's a thread about it on applesnail.net great website for snail info ^.<
