I am still stuck at 100% channels in the pictures at the beginning of the thread. I also still believe it's a female. Also, that the size of the larger channel is about 24-30" in total length in my opinion. 60 to 80 pound blue catfish are "relatively rare" where I live. I am not saying that someone or multiple someone's don't hook into and/or land one every day on the Tennessee River that's almost 700 miles long and we'll known for catfish. I'm saying for example that for every 1,000 fish landed, maybe one over 60. That may or may not be accurate, but I bet I'm close. It may be 1 in 2k. Who knows. If you have a spot that's 500+ miles(just a guess) north of me, with smaller rivers, and a shorter growing season, I wouldn't tell anyone where it is ,or grown men's pride in showing off fish might lessen your chances of catching those 60-80 lb. blue catfish that you say they've been catching regularly. They and you must be on a truly exceptional population of giant fish. Good luck catching one. Be safe around those dams. Also ,let some of those 10-20+ pound adult blues go or you won't be catching anymore of those 60-80# catfish you say are common in the near future.
