He was labeled a white red devil but apparently thats not an actual cichlid species or so im told.

Most likely just an amphilophus cross. Their colors can vary and may even change as it matures. Good luck they are a very interesting species to keep.

Amphilophus is the family name. Most likely your fish is a cross between Amphilophus Citrinellum and Amphilophus Labiatum. The Labiatum is a Red Devil and the Citrunellum is a Midas. I believe when they are crossed they are commonly referred to as "Midevils". Great fish!

I added a flower horn thats roughly the same size last night was this a good move or am i asking to eventually loose a fish. Right now they are scared of each other

They are by themselves in a 55 gallon right now im transferring to a 90 gallon once my buddy gets his new 300 set up
