Can someone help sex this Jaguar?

jags are jags. if a Oscar is a water dog, a jag is a water cat, cats like to hunt, dogs want there food in a bowl.

Female only grew 1 inch in 8 months???
 
yup, it was between 6 and 8 months, she is going on 3 now about 8" male is a good 14" now. she will grow another inch or so, he will grow another 2 or 3'" , jags are not fast growers.
 
jags in the grow out are on 3 months and largest out of the 40 or so about an inch and a half.
 
I should say you can get faster grow rates, you feed straight high protein diet jag grow faster. down side it is not good for them, so at 2 years your jag be bigger, at 5 years mine be bigger because yours is dead.
 
well compared to say an Oscar, yup.

pops has a point that at least I know I can't argue with because I had a two year old male jag that died on me I'm not sure why... he was 13 inches...now I do have grows out from a spawn I had 19 months ago and the largest is close to 10 inches and it is a female...and it was literally growing at a rate of 1 inch per month all the way up to 8 inches...since then it's maybe grown to inches...I got another that's about eight to eight and a half inches that's just showing itself to be a male...
 
I cant edit it with my phone so i will add some more to this post ...I don't venture to guess the sex of Jags as much as I used to because I was dead wrong in the past with one of mine... there are some that are pretty obvious and then you
get males and females I could pass for either ...anyway I'll just say that pops has got the best jags on this forum and he knows his stuff about Jags... I think my nickname for him is the jag whisperer....
