what kind of tank mates do you recommend?

Tank size............? By the sound's of it, none.

Provided with adequate tank space, Oscar's can be quite peaceful. Any decor will give them something to squable over, try removing everything all together.

Is it a hex tank??? Dang 33 gallons is way to small for one let alone two and three oscars in your case. I'd get that 90 gallon as soon as possible as the reason you are seeing a lot of aggression is because the tank is just to small for them to co-exist peacefully, also I'd stop jacking the temp. up and down leave it at 80-82 tropical fish seem to like it a little warmer and are a little more active if the water is slightly warmer.

thanks, yeah i need to find one asap, then do you think i could add others in there. I think these three are still young seeing as they're only about 2 1/2"

maybe add other species. but get a larger tank in the near future. Jack Dempseys make suitable tank mates with oscars IMO.

i would get a 125 of 150 maybe if you wanted to because even two oscars will make a mess of a 90 gallon, then you would have room for other mates
would get a JD, Tinfoil barbs etc

I'd get rid of one of the oscars. Three did not work for me. I had a 5ft 120g tank, and my three did not get along. Two teamed up and beat on the little guy. I had to rehome one. I'd do it now before you get too attached to them.

90 gallon tank will probably only suffice for two oscars max, and that's if they get along. Mostly its just a gamble as to whether or not they will be peaceful, but the odds are against you. In a 125g (6 ft tank) you have many more options and better odds of the fish cooperating with each other.

P.S. Those oscars appear small now, but they grow very fast. They are also extremely messy. The more fish that you keep, the more you work you'll have to put in to keep the water suitable. Just a friendly reminder. :)

Wait until you have the upgrade before even considering another tankmate. Please don't add any more fish to that 33g...it's not even big enough for 1 oscar.

Try searching craigs list you could very well get a 120, 125, or 150 for the same size or cheaper! Just look for the deals they are there you just have to sift to find them, if you got a 120, or 150 I'd say those three oscars would be fine IMO, but some may say otherwise, I'd try just two oscars and maybe a gold saum or JD, but the saum could be hit or miss as all have very different temperaments.
