Can someone ID my puffer?

very true, I guess it just sounds cool. the true fugu and the takifugu are highly neurotoxic and are the group most often to produce the fugu meat. Even the blood is toxic in most. Most are saltwater.

Thats the closest I've seen to yours, perhaps a colour morph? I'm guessing it is a different species however.

That's takifugu ocellatus btw. Not a south american species.
 
sweet puffer how much was it and is he eating like a champ yet he looks wicked happy...good pick up/./
 
He was $40.00 at 3 inches and He doesnt chase feeders anymore unless they are about 3 inches long. But he wont eat them unless provoked. He tears up crayfish about 3 or 4 of them a week and loves krill and algea wafers.
