its a purple spot (mogurnda adspersa) with odd colours, i have one of these also, and it has vivid red markings and no yellow dots.

unless its a hybrid of some sort??

You know I did originally think something looked hybrid about it. I think it was the caudal fin that kinda threw me off. It may just be young though. I'd still give it the benefit of the doubt and stick with my original answer.

This is gonna be a problem coz we are not yet sure what kind of goby or morgunda species this fish is or where its origin is...
