+1 not green enough for a Retropinnis
There are many diffrent factors that can go into pulling the green pigments out plus I think op only just got them could still be stressed.

That is 100% retropinnis. i have a retropinnis that looks exactly like that one. you can tell its a retropinnis by the number of dorsal fins, the pattern on it's body and the headshape. The green in yours doesn't show because of the substrate and how young the retropinnis is. the zaire green will show as it grows older.

hey, can we can some updated pics of the poly in question?
it looks like a palmas polli to me but many were thinking it was a retro...
also if you look closely, you can see a small ring of dots surrounding the eye socket that ONLY retropinnis has.
I was told by TGM that no other bichir has this feature![]()
