Can someone ID this mackerel?

but not in the california coast i dont recall ever hiring about tilapia though.
few tilapia have been caught in California coast tho not common due to the cold temperatures of sea. California have feral populations of tilapia in some river systems and irrigation systems.
 
Make the trip to Huntington Beach peir the fishing is way better in going Friday morning last time I went I cuaght 14 thorn back rays a leopard shark and maybe 35 mackerel I use sabiki hooks with small peices of squid or shrimp on the hooks then use the mackerel I catch for the rays and sharks

I went to Santa Monica and all I cuaght was a top smelt and they have a sign that says don't eat fish contaminated

Looks like a regular Mackeral to me. Cut the head off, split it down the back, lightly coat in flour an pepper and fry in some butter.
