Redtail.. ok. That makes sense... I am very new to fish.. This is the one that got me interested... lol
 
can sorubim be black like he is? All of the pictures and information I have found on them are light, and say they have a yellow/golden color to them...

well, the one you showed to is not a well fed spotted sorubim. if given enough space and food... this is a healthy spotted sorubim or so called hybrid RTC x TSN.

im 100% sure about this... because i owned them too... and i've seen too many of this catfish fry. baby fish and adult fish may vary from colour & shape. but for adult, it is all the same... minus those unhealthy ones... or else u can go to your LFS to refer to the book for guidance.

this is all because they are not pure breed... they are hybrid...

just my 2cents
 
defo a rtc/tsn hybrid, if your interested in it you are going to need around 1000gallons or more. if not dont take it.
 
next time place the thread in the catfish section, that way you will get more accurate responses. Not aying that these ones arent good but just making a point.
