I wouldn't suggest a giraffe cat, they get quite large, though you could go with a dwarf giraffe cat. One species gets up to about 8 inches and the other about 14 inches. The larger ones, (non dwarf) can get over 3 ft, and very thick. I have one of each, and my big boy gets a little aggressive when it comes fish near his size. He rides my two plecos, both 15 inches, and pisses them off.
