Can someone tell me what I have here?

I had one from petsmart that looked similar to that. Here are some pics as it grew.

Yours does look remarkably similar minus the yellow coloring. Did your start off yellow like mine? but body shape, fins and black markings are very similar. even the red line on the dorsal with white belly. What kind of fish is yours?

i'v been working in retail selling thousands of fish every month for 3 years now. since i cant see it in person i'd still say it's a red devil because of the spots and the way the black bars are. im like 98% sure and no chance it's a red texas they have blue pearls and should resemble a carpintis. also chances are is a red devil because they are veryyyyy common and get sold to large corporate businesses listed with many different names.

Thank you for your response but after all the reading and research I have been seeing I have to disagree. I picked it up because it looked like nothing I had ever seen before. I have seen many red devils and midas. It was in a tank with red devils and looked nothing like the rest. The coloring is completely off and body shape is completely off mouth shape is completely different. The coloring is exactly like a Lyonsi metallic gold with pink behind the gills and white under belly, fin shape and mouth shape is the same. It also has a red line down the dorsal the red terror and midas don't have. I also looked at the distribute site for petsmart and they are now selling Lyonsi.

But what ever it is I still love it. I will wait until it gets older and take pics.

No, never got a definite answer. Some people said flowerhorn and others thought possibly a barred red devil or barred Midas. I think it may have been one of the latter. I had to take it to my LFS because it became hyper aggressive and tried to kill everything in my tank. The poor guy is still at the LFS...I see him every time I go and always wish I could bring him home, but he would have to be a solo wet pet. Regardless, I always enjoy growing out a fish which is not destined to look a certain way...I like the suspense of waiting to see how he turns out and just knowing he will be unique and 1 of a kind in a sort of way. Good Luck!
