well, since it is particle board and steel tubes, it looks like its reasonably solid and the reviews dont look too bad. It probably can support a 10 g. If you do go ahead with this desk, just proceed slow with adding the water(where most of the weight will come from). If it appears to take the weight easily, I wouldnt worry about it too much long term
Thanks. I already have the desk though. Had it for months. And the 10g is already cycled and stocked. The only problem I foresee is the desk has been used a lot and most of the screws are stripped/wood has noticeable wear & tear (I did not build it, Target offered free home installation but the builder clearly had no idea what he was doing, he almost broke the desk and target refused to replacement it)

If you are worried or see any sagging, you could get some cynderblocks or something, to reinforce the desk.
I have the same cpu desk and its very unbalanced. I wouldn't put more than a cpu on it.

It should work, I would by some L brackets at home depot, this will secure it to wall, all stands are wobbly, and kids like aquariums so its a good idea anyways.
