Mike I would say its absolutely possible. First generation probably not the strongest, but two or three gens down the road I would think its entirely possible. I don't have any scientific facts or sources in front of me but the world and mother nature work in crazy ways. Frogs and sharks are both known to change their sex when the opposite is not in surplus to help keep their population up. Another phenomenon that people couldn't explain was the oil spill in Iraq years and years ago. They said it would wipe out entire ecosystems, fish turtles seaplants and tons of other things were expected to be wiped out. That wasn't the case, 10 years later the sea life is flourishing and the same species are in surplus. While this may not seem relevant to fish in cold water, the basis is that wildlife adapt to their surroundings and have a crazy way of doing so. Mosquitos are so in tune with the earth they know when a poor year to breed is coming that they will actually breed enough to cover that year they'll miss.
