Yeah, I just know 2x4s are actually very strong but I wasn't sure. I figured someone one here would have a better idea. I checked for studs are there is only one under the counter anyway.

Hello; I agree with the do not do it posters. From the photos the counter top appears that it will sag in the center.

Look into concrete blocks they are cheap! Until you can purchase a stand.

I have a stand, just thought it would be a neat spot for my Flowerhorn since she is very interactive.
