Thanks for the Input and comments. Seems as ive always read the differences are noticeable. Im getting ready to start looking for fish I want to get and I guess the hype was more then what it is. Ive got a few tanks set up but looking to do a community with specifics. Would you say that the Saum's are capable in this pretty well?
What do to mean by specifics? A community environment depends on which types of fish are compatible regarding both the environment and temperament. I tend to disagree with the statement that the "hype was more than it is" because the A Stalsbergi is an awesome fish! The fish is beautiful! I think they look more sleek compared to the Saums, and I love their facial structure! Additionally, the inverted scale pattern is a large influence in distinguishing the differences between the Saums other than the more obvious thinner and white tail band on the tail fin of the Gold Saum. Gold Saums seem like they are very common but the A. Stalsbergi is very uncommon and should catch the attention of fish enthusiasts as well as people who tend to be unaware or not as knowledgable in the fish hobby. Some people might say that they think the Gold Saum is more beautiful in appearance, but I would incline to disagree; they both have a distinct beauty, but I guess this is in the eye of the beholder!
