By the way i bought lots of XO Humpy Head pellets and XO Red Skin pellets or something. But assuming she is a female FH, is it ok to feed her Humpy Head pellets? Even though females don't have koks.
If you can get your female to grow a kok to be the size of a decent male FH kok. Then 3/4 of your female quality has already been made up. And I'm talking about the highest of the highest class here. Getting a decent male kok on a female is the hardest thing ever to to find for a female FH or to just grow out it for that matter. But I've seen them in person, and they ain't cheap I can tell you that. People really goes nuts if they find one of those female for sale, die hard FH guys will shed a grand or 2 just for the fish alone. :screwy::D

Yup, if want to dig deep into the FH hobby. Got to have the cash. I've notice that people who shed that much money into 1 fish, those money is very easy for them to make back and they don't worry if the fish die. Flowerhorn by far is the most expensive fish hobby I've seen in my life. Of course Asian arowana on the other hand is super expensive too, but your keeping them for a super long time.

wow! i gotta work hard for my fish then.
i'll try to feed it with XO humpy head... maybe she got a chance... lol

Humpy head is good to feed it because if it turns out to be male its had the optimum diet to produce a large kok. I have a red dragon male (see avatar) that would never eat chingmix headbooster but loves Hikari cichlid gold and has an outstanding kok for a 6" fish.
P.S. it's kok has grown alot since the picture in my avatar!

Not to be cocky or whatever. But just to break the truth, the fish in your avatar has an okay kok for a 6". And ChingMix is not a food that is easily accepted by any flowerhorns. A lot of flowerhorns who experienced ChingMix for the first time had to be starved. I had to starve my Kamfamalau. Now he's eating ChingMix well now, results is showing on my Kamfamalau.
Just from what I learn with the experts, ChingMix Headbooster Sp 100 gives better results than Humpy Head. I don't know, I have to test this one out for myself some day.
