Here's a red devil I had, in different stages of growth( yougest to oldest, all pics are the same fish), kinda looks like yours.
I know this guy, I was there right after he got this fish. The LFS said it was a trimac!!! It was silver/grey when is was 1 to 2 " in size. It had all the markings/color of a low grade Flowerhorn. Even its eyes were a different color. Now its red/gold/black, completely different markings. Really cool, I had no idea that a midas/RD could change so dramatically, if that is what it is. Still cool though!
100% no doubt about it RD, Midas, or RD/Midas hybrid. Its one of those three combos, but they are so similar it is near impossible to tell exactly which one. I woudl go with either RD or RD/Midas because it has pointy long face. But it doesn't look to have huge Angelina Jolie lips so that makes it look a bit more Midas.
