Yup. Just a channel cat. It's always had less silver than usual. Even when it was 2" it was still darker than the rest.

So how large to channel cats get in captivity? i thought they grew to be too big for any tank but lots of people seem to keep them on here!
i hear they average between 24"-30". the world record was around 4'. still smaller than some of the big cats people keep like rtc and such. the chances of your rtc or tsn getting 4' is WAY more likely than a channel to get 4'.
yes i think they are very cute. i love mine as he is full of personality. i also been told that i have an unusually fast growing one. at around 1.5"-2" a month he is growing pretty fast. especially since most online sources say they bro very slow. i bought mine at 2' February 2012. as of today he is little bit longer than 10"

Mine grow extremely slow. My albino grows pretty fast
About a inch a month. My other one has grown maybe a 1/4 of an inch in 3 months. Once they get big I'm gonna give them away. I have 2 fish that can already get to 4 feet so I don't need some channels
