Can We Get a Tig Count?

Two were in the same tank. I killed one cuz I forgot to turn on the filter and within 5 hours it died. The second one died because I got carried away with a 125% waterchange. I feel bad I killed these fish and it was an expensive live and learn lesson.

Actually I had 5 total. I trade one to a friend for a lent pike. One is eating sinking massivore pellets with the bichir community. The other one is eating market shrimps.

Sorry to hear about the others.

And I guess they were too small to judge if two adult tigs would fight if in the same tank now that I think about it.

ya id like to compare what everyone is feeding there tigs ? and how often ??

I'm feeding various fish filets and jumbo shrimp. I stuff the meat with Massivore pellets because he won't take pellets by themself. You guys are lucky who's do. I feed one day on, two days off, one day on, then three days off, then rotate back.

awww its my dream to own one but thats going to have to go on the back burner till i have the money lol

Just keep looking for a deal. I paid $70 for mine but he was only about 5-6" if I remember correctly. Lol just a skinny little twig. Got him from Rich who was having a sale. And wow, look at him now, such an awesome fish.



This is a great thread for everyone to compare notes. Since this is my first and only Tig, I'm learning as I go. I've had him a couple of years and he's now 18" so I've gained some knowledge up to now but always happy to learn more.

Wheres marshy and his beast and T1karmann has one too,i dont know why but mine has started to hang out at the front like in the pics,before he would just sit at the back and come out at lights out,obviously ive not had him long,do they take a while to settle in and become more confident ?

Im sure you will have one of your own soon enough chloe,i just kept looking on aquarist classifieds and found mine,it was on there a while but because of this i managed to knock the price down and when i went to pick him up matt who sold him to me gave me a free catsish lol
also he had looooooooads of laaaaaarge clown loaches which hes selling at the mo.
