Can you eat your fish?

What are these water conditioning chemicals you guys are raving about? I have never put any chemicals into any of my aquariums. That includes medication and prime, or stresscoat.
Do you all really use so many chemicals? The only thing I allow to enter my aquariums, besides the obvious (water, heaters, filters, etc.) are fish, plants, and food.

I really do not understand why anyone would even want too... I couldn't do it, there are tons of threads on here about it and it has made a few people sick.
but if you don't have a problem eating a "pet" then all the power to ya, just think its a extreme .

...what if i don't use conditoner and i just let my bacteria do its thing?

L.O.L have some amazon swords as a side.

Homer Simpson ate Pinchy.

But Pinchy was a lobster not a fish :naughty:

Eitherway, to answer the OP's question, i guess if you bred your own fish and went 100% natural while keeping them, i.e. no chemicals, feeding them food they would find in nature, i.e. no man made foods etc... then MAYBE they would be safe to eat... just MAYBE though... since the obvious water conditions etc would still play a part in the quality of fish...

So your tap water doesn't have chloramine?

Wow. I wouldn't need Prime either if I had such nice water. What do they use instead?
