I feel like if my filter entry tubes were lower in my tank they would be more productive, is it possible to lengthen it with pvc or such material(maybe someone could let me know) to where it would pull in the water and dirt closer to the gravel where most the dirt lies. let me know what you guys have done or recommend doing.
Thanks

what kind of filter? any pics of the tubes? This would help a great deal.

I have an aquaclear 70 and marineland 350 I want to do it to.

only drawback to this is that if your filter leaks, it could drain your entire tank onto your floor. this happened to a buddy of mine with an old fluval 403 canister.

so it has its risks. personally, I just leave mine about 1/3d of the way down.

True, just the other day my filter clogged and the water dripped out but it didnt get too low cause my tube is about a 1/10th of the way down, id like it to atleast a third ya know, just lower than the top, not much dirt is that high
