Something im curious about, and im not doubting what you guys have to say. Anything ive seen in lfs labelled as adonis hasn't had that 'prickly' look

trust me mate, when, I got mine, he wasn't spiky, it comes as they grow in my experience

The ones ive seen must've been mislabelled then. They looked the same, just not spiky.

Yhh that's a problem with LFS, they tend to mislabel. I have the same problem in my local area

Best mislabelling ive seen was some filament barbs. Ticket said max size of 2" when they were quite blatantly 3"+ swimming round the tank.

LOOOL nahh, the experience I had wasn't just mislabelled, it was misselling as well.
I went to a Pets at Home about 4 years back and saw a pangasius 'chao prya' catfish. The label said 8"!! When I questioned the sales assistant, he turned around and says "Oh, that'd be a large one, they usually max at 6" " !!!!!:sly::eek::what:
