could it be a baby Fahaka?

OMG I hope not. I have enough problems coming up in the next 6 months with large fish and small tanks. My second car just died (Blown head gasket) So I just bought a new car.

Amazon it is. I think the color of the water is making the color unclear...any chance you could put him in a plastic nano tank for 2 seconds and take a pic or just net him out?

Dang it, I knew they where lying to me, I have been asking them for a dwarf puffer for months. I asked how big will this fish get, "oh about 2 may 3 inchs", I have enough "Water" to move fish around and give him a 20 gallon to him self if he got mean. Now I find out he is going to get 8 Inches, I have no Idea where to put him.

So I guess I will have to take him back tomorrow. I have a big enough problem wiht my 4.5" bala sharks, I know I can keep them for another 6 months in my 55. By then I should be able to buy a 120 gallon for them.

Thank you so much for Your advise.

NOT an amazon.

common name is ceylon puffer, and yeah its brackish- http://www.**************.com/forum/ug.php/v/PufferPedia/Brackish/T_Fluviatilis/

Darn, ya beat me too it! Fuviatilis it is.

Atleast you got it identified.. :)

The LFS tried to not take it back, I explained what type of fish it was and how because they mislabeled it and misinformed me; I could not have know it requires full marine tank when an adult or that it gets 8 inchs.

Then they tried to look it up in their little book, made me find the scientific name, all before they exchanged it.

While this was a bad time with this store all the other times where good so they are still a good LFS to me. I got plants instead, looks like I will still be on the hunt for a dwarf puffer.

Did they find it in their book under T fluviatilis? Very few books even, have got that ID correct. I hope they are glong to let the next person interested in that puffer know the correct info on it.
