Hello there..

I've just visited my local fish store to buy some decor...
Obviously I had to buy a fish when I was there .
This fish caught my eye and thought... Why not!
They guy at the store didn't know what it was..
Can you help me pls? Photos attached.

Many thanks,
Stuart

I’ve seen those around...they look pretty much like a Chinese algae eater but with no stripes. Have no idea what it is but a LFS had a tankful labeled as such

I can say with complete confidence that everyone is right so far. Definitely a Chinese algae eater. Effective little algae cleaner but some say they can get aggressive, sucking on and chasing other fish. They don’t grow too big otherwise I’d keep them in my larger tank again.

Hi.
Thanks for your replies.. I've been busy helping someone move house hense the late reply!
I've come back and he's now really getting about the tank... Interesting to watch.
Not worries about aggression as I have a green terror ;) ..
Ive done the research into algea eaters and you are all correct.. Definitely the same characteristics.
I'll try send a vid.
Thanks again

I traded two in back in the 90's that were both 10 inches.
