basically on a male the dorsal and anal fins are longer and pointed. and a female has a lot more blue on the gill plate. just seems like blotches instead of specks.

females are total black from gill plate to tale, might be some blue specs on their, then their face has lots of blue

males have gold on them and have lots of blue from behind gill plate to tail.

lots of gold=males
no gold=females
