Can you keep a 6" fish in a 10g for life?

It depends on the species. A bottom dweller or a cave-oriented species that doesnt roam a large territory in the wild... yeah, if you filter the hell out of the water. An active species... no way.

The question is, why would you do it? If you can only have a 10 gallon, maybe look at fish that don't grow to be 6".

You could keep it in there for its life....a SHORT LIFE. Doing that to a fish is unfair and you should give it a better home than that.

Single angelfish. I wouldn't feel guilty. I also wouldn't feel guilty with a 6" pleco.

Bah it was just an idea. I didn't buy anything yet i mainly use the tank for feeders and a couple of clown plecos i bought. But i guess not
